Indian never expected anyone to hang hard luggage off the back of an FTR. The tail is slim and light, but the mounting points are there, and this is an eccentric rack built to work around the big Akrapovic twin exhaust rather than pretend it is not there.
The left box is a full 27 liters. The right one is cut around the exhaust and comes in at 18, which is the honest trade. Most systems solve this by making both boxes shallow all the way down and calling them a matched pair. This one keeps the volume where the volume is available.
Lids are gasketed the whole way round and pull down on four clamp points each. They lock. A spring pin holds each box to the rack, so it comes off in the time it takes to pull one pin and lifts straight out.
The rack is 3/4 inch steel tube on four subframe points and two passenger bracket points. Black powder coat throughout, boxes and rack both, and every fastener you need is included.
The system
Each one works on its own. They were drawn together, so they share mounting points instead of fighting for them.
Seven parts drawn as one system, so nothing fights anything else for a mounting point. Every fastener counted into one order.
