Warranty

Every part is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from delivery, to the original purchaser.

What is covered

If a weld cracks, a bracket fails, a powder coat lifts on its own, a fastener supplied by us fails, or a carbon part delaminates in normal use, tell us and we will repair or replace it. Which of the two is our call, and we will explain the reasoning either way.

What is not covered

  • Crash damage
  • Wear, and corrosion from road salt or storing a wet bike
  • Cosmetic marks from gravel, luggage or riding, including scuffs on the underside of a pannier, which is the pannier doing its job
  • Parts modified, drilled, re-finished or repaired by anyone other than us
  • Parts fitted outside the printed instructions or torqued outside the stated specification
  • Damage caused by mixing our parts with other manufacturers’ mounting hardware
  • Consumables

Fair wear is not a defect. A skid plate that has taken three years of rock strikes and looks like it has is working correctly.

Fitment

Parts are made for the motorcycles listed on the product page and no others. Fitting a part to a bike it is not listed for voids the warranty. We will not be surprised or annoyed if you try it. We just cannot stand behind it.

Making a claim

Email customerservice@cannonballmoto.com with your order number, photographs of the part on the bike, and what happened. Most claims are settled by email in a day or two. If the part needs to come back, we pay the freight both ways on a valid claim.

Riding is riding

These parts are made for use on unpaved roads and trails. Riding off pavement carries risk that no bracket removes. Fit the parts as documented, torque them as specified, check your fasteners after the first ride and periodically after that, and ride within your ability.

Returns and shipping

Warranty is separate from returns. For return windows, refunds and shipping times, see our return and refund policy and shipping policy.
